The Reverend Dr. Harold J. Bennett II is our Senior Pastor. Rev. Bennettr eceived his Doctoral of Ministry at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary .

Harold (aka Hal) was the first born of two surviving children to the awesome parents of Harold and Dr. Nancy Bennett, Sr., Baltimore, MD. He was educated in the Baltimore public school system. He is a graduate of Morgan State University, BS. Chemistry; Georgia State University, M.Ed. Counseling and Psychological Services; Associates Degree in Computer Science, Prince George’s Community College; graduate of U.S. Army Command and General Staff College; and a graduate of Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology, MTh., Virginia Union University. He is a retired member of the U.S. Army Reserves, COL/06; and a retired federal government employee, Central Intelligence Agency, Senior Security Intelligence Officer. (Needless to say, he has been around the world a few times and been involved in several fighting conflicts).

He is married to Etta B. Holloway of Bowie, MD and he has three children (Traci Williams, Lee Bennett III, and Camron Bennett) through a former marriage. He has three grandchildren by Traci; Shane, Syere, and Savoy.

He is a former member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Baltimore, Maryland. He served Trinity as a Youth and Adult Sunday School Teacher, a Trustee, a Deacon, a Ruling Elder and Assistant Teaching Elder; Minister of the Word and Sacrament (2008-2012). He served at the Lakeland Presbyterian Church, Baltimore, Maryland, as an Interim Teaching Elder (2010), Minister of the Word and Sacrament.

He served at the Presbytery of Baltimore; on the Permanent Judicial Commission, Presbytery of Baltimore Investment and Financial Committee and a former Trustee, former Chair of the Presbytery Nominating Committee, served on the Presbytery Personnel Committee, Vision Committee and Presbytery Council; and at Presbytery Mid-Atlantic Synod, as a former Vice-Chair of the Trustee Committee.

He currently serves as the Designated Pastor, at Dulatown Presbyterian Church, Lenoir, NC and is a member of the Western Presbytery of North Caroline (WPNC). He serves at the WPNC on the Mission Committee (leadership Team of the Guatemala Partnership), Small-Membership Church Forum, and Cluster E Minister Alliance for Hickory, Lenoir and Morganton Region. In the community of Lenoir, he has become an active participant in local politics (city of Lenoir) and a member of the Lenoir Ministerial Coalition.

He is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He served in his former community (Upper Marlboro/Waldolf, MD) as the former Program Director, for Kappa Youth Development (KYD), Inc., a 501c (3) initiative, which its primary goal was to provide minority adolescent males a transition into outstanding students of high moral character, effective leaders in their community and promote a transition into healthy adulthood (through the focus on limiting high risk and healthier behavior patterns). KYD targets Southern Maryland, Northern Virginia, and District of Columbia. His personal ministry was in support of KYD’s Kappa Kare Program, which supported health awareness for Men of Color (Cancer, Violence, Obesity, HIV/AIDS, Mental Health, Heart Disease and Healthy Aging) through education and health screenings.
